Stephen Abbott

Stephen is a veteran nonprofit leader, analyst, strategist, editor, and writer who has worked with nonprofits, foundations, campaigns, government agencies, and school systems on a wide range of issues, projects, and programs, and he has delivered presentations, conference workshops, and training sessions throughout the United States. In 2018, he founded Abbott & Associates, a consulting firm that advises leaders, advocates, and organizations in the fields of strategic communications, philanthropy, education, community engagement, and organizational evaluation and planning.

Previously, Stephen was the director of communications and public engagement for the Great Schools Partnership and the New England Secondary School Consortium, assistant director of the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, and a publicist and copywriter for Columbia University Press.
