Latia Henderson
Latia Henderson (she/her) serves as the Chief Engagement Officer at Denver Families for Public Schools, leading the charge in building a powerful community movement for educational equity in Denver.
Latia oversees both communications and organizing functions, ensuring our messaging and advocacy efforts are deeply rooted in the communities served.
Latia brings nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and management to this role and has extensive experience as a community volunteer, community advocate, and board member. Previously, she was part of the senior leadership team at Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF), leading the organization’s brand and engagement efforts. Before joining DSF, Latia worked for the Denver Public Schools Foundation, the Young Americans Center for Financial Education, and the Community Resource Center.
Latia also serves as founding board chair for Wildflower Montessori Public Schools of Colorado, a public charter network that opened in the Fall 2023. She is a member of the Montessori on Wheels board of directors and a member of the external affairs committee for KIPP Colorado Public Schools.
Latia is a Daniels Fund Scholar and a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and a minor in business administration.
