Erica Tinsley

Erica Tinsley is the Interim Director of Communications at the ACLU of Colorado. She joined the ACLU in 2022, after 11 years in the broadcast news industry. Erica earned a Master’s degree in Digital Audience Strategy from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass communications from New Mexico State University.

She currently serves as the secretary of the Colorado Association of Black Journalists, an organization she played a large role in re-establishing in 2021, is a Denver Press Club board member, and joined the ComNetworkDENVER group as a new local leader in 2024. Outside of her day job and volunteer work, Erica loves to crochet, is working on her bucket list goal to run a half marathon in every state and is always busy chasing after her 14-month-old daughter.
