Communicating Values in Volatile Times
Foundations and nonprofits are navigating an increasingly volatile environment and determining how best to connect with audiences and maintain commitments to serving the public good. While our missions and strengths may differ, we hold many values in common—and we face similar challenges and opportunities this year.
ComNetwork SF Bay Area invites you to join us on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 to gather in community with one another and share how mission-driven communication leaders are approaching their messaging strategies during this time when the core principles fundamental to social change work are under attack.
Speakers Eric Antebi of the California Health Care Foundation and Marc Philpart of the California Black Freedom Fund at Silicon Valley Community Foundation will share how their organizations are communicating about their work and values, and what dynamics are at play in the field. Then Marcia Parker, Vice President of Philanthropic Partnerships at the New York Times will kick off a lively discussion moderated by Regan Douglass, Principal, Sparkwise Communications. Participants are invited to share questions, suggestions, and resources for navigating communications planning and actions during this period.
