Fall 2009 Conference Highlights
More than 220 people involved in foundation and nonprofit communications contributed to making the Fall 2009 Annual Communications Network conference one of the most sucessful events in years.
From opening keynotes by New York Times columnist Frank Rich and internet guru Clay Shirky to breakout sessions on strategic communications, social media, and influencing policy, participants had ample opportunities to learn about the changing communications landscape, trade information about effective practices, and explore ways to work more closely with colleagues throughout the field.
After sifting through over 120 video interviews with participants, we edited together some of the most introspective reflections of conference attendees, which you can find below. We've also summarized proceedings and collected slide decks and handouts, which you can access at the bottom of this page.
2009 Gorilla Engagement Squad Captures 120 Voices!

Want to hear what the attendees of the 2009 Communications Network Conference had to say about some key elements of foundation communications? The Gorilla Engagement Squad collected 120 video interviews, asking three questions:
1. Describe one contributor to excellence in foundation communications that hasn't changed in the past five years. Describe one thing that has changed.
2. What is the most innovative idea you've ever had for how to make foundation communciations better?
3. What is your take away from a certain conference session?
