Fall 2009 Communications Network Conference Speaker, Frank Rich on 'The Greatest Story Ever Sold'
In this clip, Frank Rich, New York Times Op-Ed columnist, and a keynote speaker at the Fall 2009 Communications Network Conference (October 14-16 in New York City), discusses his book, The Greatest Story Ever Sold. During his talk, Rich describes how the Bush Administration used propoganda and and cover-ups to "sell" the Iraq War to the American people. His purpose in writing the book, he says, was to retrace “the steps by which a very sophisticated democracy --- one which has more access to information than ever before -- could be sold a war on the basis on fictional story line."
